The details

How the day runs

Setup and breakdown

Allow one to one and a half hours for setup before service, and about thirty minutes for cleanup afterward.

Tables you provide

A minimum of two six-foot tables is required for a proper bar setup. If you don't have them, we can point you at a rental house.

Gratuity

Bartender gratuity can be handled with a tip jar during the event or paid directly afterward. Waitstaff is billed with a 20% gratuity.

Dress

Bartenders and servers wear black shirts and black pants as standard. Anything else can be agreed at contract.

Staff preference

We have male and female bartenders. A specific preference can be guaranteed with advance booking.

Insurance

All of our bartenders and servers carry general liability and liquor liability insurance. A certificate of insurance is provided on request, and extra coverage can be arranged for a fee.

Booking & payment

Reserving your date

We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, personal checks, Venmo and PayPal. A 10% deposit is due at contract, with the balance due 7 days ahead of the event unless we agree otherwise.

  • Either party may cancel without obligation on written notice no later than 7 days before the event. After that date, the balance is payable in full.
  • Balances due the day of the event and left unpaid are subject to a $25 per day service fee unless otherwise negotiated.
  • A $30 fee applies to returned checks.
  • As the host, you are ultimately responsible for your guests. We reserve the right to refuse alcohol to anyone who, in our judgment, has had too much to drink or is under the legal age.
A note on reaching us. Through the summer, holidays and most weekends the office is out working events and email access is limited. If your question is time sensitive, call 203.804.9535 rather than waiting on an email reply.
